Soon after learning, Jordan even played with one of the best high-school marching bands in the states until he moved to live with his dad and had to change his school. After the graduation of Matthew, he was hired to run the program but eventually, he left the work in order to pursue his own music career. 

Jordan performed Keith Whitley's "I'm No Stranger to the Rain" in the blind audition of The Voice season 20. Jordan’s exceptional performance turned three chairs of The Voice Judges besides John Legend. Jordan picked Blake Shelton as his coach and started his The Voice journey.

Jordan then performed Train’s “Calling All Angels” for the battle round and sang The Black Crowes’ “She Talks To Angels” in the Knockout round and won it.

Similarly, Jordan then performed Fleetwood Mac’s “Gold Dust Woman” in the Live Playoffs. His luck favored him and was saved by his coach Blake.

Likewise, after the semi-finals, Jordan Matthew was at the bottom 5 and he performed John Conlee’s “Rose Colored Glasses” for Wildcard Instant Save and won. 

Besides the show, Jordan Matthew Young has been touring and playing blues music for the last decade. As of now, his tours are stopped due to the global COVID 19 pandemic. So, as of now, he makes his living and earns by fixing guitars and building houses along with his dad.
