Andy was named the 2007 Texas Bowl MVP during his redshirt freshman college year and then in his sophomore year, he was named 2008 Poinsettia Bowl.

Andy’s professional career began after he was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2011 NFL Draft with 35th overall in the second-round pick. Andy then signed a 4-year rookie contract of $5.21 million with the Cincinnati Bengals on 29th June 2011. 

Andy was named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month for October on 3rd November 2011. Furthermore, during the rookie season of Andy, he had four wins which also featured fourth-quarter comebacks. At the end of the season during the NFLPA PULSE Awards, Andy received the Emerging Player Awards from the NFL Players Associations and he was later also named as the Pro Bowl Alternate in his first year.

Moving forward, after completing 9 seasons with the franchise and after quarterback player Joe Burrow’s selection in the 2020 NFL Draft, Andy was released by the Cincinnati Bengals on 30th April 2020.

Then Andy signed a year contract of $7 million with the Dallas Cowboys of NFL on 2nd May 2020. As of now, he has signed a year contract with the Chicago Bears on 17th March 2021.
