He has received several awards and accolades for his contribution to the field of journalism. Along with that, he has also been relishing a blissful family life with his wife and children.
Married Life With Lorraine
After a failed marriage in the past, the Fox News host Chris Wallace found love in Lorraine Smothers. Chris and his wife, Lorraine, have been married since 1997.
The marriage didn't just bring the couple together, but it also blended their family. The duo is parents to six children- four from Chris’s previous marriage and two from Lorraine’s previous marriage.
After marrying Lorraine, dinner became a larger event in their family. Lorraine, who loved cooking after she became a mom, began a tradition of cooking soups.
Lorraine loves cooking and she’s the author of three best-selling cookbooks. She published her first cookbook, Mr. Sunday’s Soups, in December 2010. Her husband's routine as the host of the Sunday Morning program inspired the title of her book.
Her second book, Mr. Sunday’s Saturday Night Chicken, was published in 2012 and her third book, Mr. and Mrs. Sunday’s Suppers, came out in 2015.
Before getting married to Lorraine, Chris was married to Elizabeth Farrell. Chris got married to Elizabeth when he took a job at the CBS owned channel in Chicago. When the duo first met, Elizabeth was working with the Boston Redevelopment Authority.
Similarly, Lorraine was previously married to comedian and musician Dick Smothers. She tied the wedding knot with Dick when she was 27 and Dick was 47.
The estranged couple lived in her home state of Virginia. When married to Dick, they used to raise horses.
Chris and Lorraine’s marriage made their family large with six children. Chris already had four children with his ex-wife, Elizabeth Farrell, while Lorraine had two children with her ex-husband, Dick Smothers.
The Fox News Sunday news anchor's oldest son Peter was born in 1995. He is a Harvard graduate and is working at the Blackstone Group in New York City as a senior managing director.
Chris and Elizabeth’s second child is their daughter, Megan Wallace. The duo then welcomed twins, Andrew and Catherine in 1986.
