David was born to parents Bill Wenham and Kath Wenham. They were a family of nine that included seven children. Kathy Wenham, Carmel Wenham, Helen Wenham, Anne Wenham, Peter Wenham, and Maree Wenham are the Wenham siblings with whom David shared his childhood.
