Along with his three closest high school friends, Mike Boccio, James Murray, and Joe Gatto, Sal Vulcano co-founded the wildly successful live improv and sketch comedy group "The Tenderloins" in 1999. His first big break came when he competed in and won the Carson Daly-hosted comedy show "It's Your Show" on NBC. Sal and his high school classmates launched the television program "Impractical Jokers" on December 15, 2011, and its debut season attracted over 32 million viewers. Impractical Jokers centers on four people who force each other into performing public pranks that are being videotaped by concealed cameras.  

Sal was designated the "loser" of the Impractical Joker's Season 9 episode since he failed two tasks in a row. The rest of the cast then had him accept the identity of "Prince Herb" for the duration of the season as a punishment. Also, he co-wrote a book titled "Impractical Jokers" after his television program. Sal co-hosts the famous 'What Say You?' podcast with Brian Quinn. He is currently hosting a podcast Hey Babe!.
