Stan Stovall works as a co-anchor for the News Today at 6 pm weekend editions. At first, he worked as a primary anchor for the weekday evening edition from 1978 to 1983 for 11 News. In 2003, Stan started as co-anchor for the 11 News Today Weekend edition. The same year, he was promoted and raised his salary from weekday editions co-anchor to 11 News at Noon anchor. Later in October of the same year, his role was changed from noon to morning duties.
Because of the audience’s positive response to his anchoring, he was again given another raise and changed his schedule to 6 pm and 11 pm in December 2013. Prior to this job, Stan worked at WMAR-TV, located in Baltimore as a primary evening news anchor. While he was achieving success in his career, he also earned a name and fame. In 1971, At the age of 18, Stan was named the youngest anchor in the United States and the first African American anchor in the state of Arizona.

In 2021, Stan announced his retirement stating that,
