At the Iberdrola Music site in Villaverde, Shakira’s team has built Macondo Park, a temporary concert and cultural space around Shakira Stadium. Inspired by Gabriel García Márquez’s One Hundred Years of Solitude, the space brings together music, literature, food, fashion, art, and other cultural experiences around her concerts.

Macondito is the park’s space for children, adding a family-friendly stop among its eight themed areas.

The opening show moved between songs from different stages of Shakira’s career, from “Antología” and “Hips Don’t Lie” to “Te Felicito” and “Soltera.” “Acróstico” offered a quieter moment, accompanied by images of her sons, while “Te Dejo Madrid” gave the Madrid audience a song directly connected to the city.

Another highlight is “Dai Dai,” Shakira’s 2026 World Cup song with Burna Boy. Macondo Park was built as a temporary site. According to Bjarke Ingels Group, its structures, landscape elements and materials are intended to be dismantled and repurposed after the residency ends.
