Lambert Wilson is a French actor, singer, activist, and voice actor well-recognized for his performance in the American media franchise consisting of four feature films called The Matrix movie series started with The Matrix Reloaded as The Merovingian. Lambert is the son of Georges Wilson, an actor, theatrical manager, and director of the Theatre National Populaire, and Nicole Wilson.
At a young age, Lambert had little interest in the French theatre and aimed to become an American actor and work in Hollywood movies. At the beginning, he made his acting debut with an American movie called Julia released in 1977 as Walter Franz, and has been acting since then in both the American and French entertainment industry.
