Malika Andrews is an American sports journalist and reporter who was a huge sports fan from a very young age. 

Her dream of joining the field of sports journalism first started in their Oakland living room while watching sports with her parents and sister.

Educational Backgrounds

Malika Andrews initially attended Head Royce School but was kicked out from there in 8th grade due to an eating disorder. 

As a middle-schooler, Malika Andrews was angry, depressed, and anxious. She fought with her parents, flunked out of middle school, and even suffered from an eating disorder which was very confusing for her and also for her family. However, her parents were very supportive and loving and the whole family coped with the situation in a proper way. 

At the age of 14, she was sent to a therapeutic boarding school in Utah and graduated from there at the age of 17. Malika found herself and considers it as one of the best things that could have happened to her.

For about a year after completing her schooling, Malika worked at a Civil Rights law firm owned by her maternal grandfather.

Later she joined the University of Portland where she gained a Bachelor of Arts Degree and she earned honors in the year 2017.

During her University days, Malika was the writer, sports editor, and editor-in-chief of the university's student newspaper named “The Beacon”.
