Cheryl Burke tied the knot with American actor Matthew Lawrence on 23rd May 2019. Cheryl and her husband started dating back in 2007 and their relationship was her first healthy relationship.

Their initial encounter was while Cheryl was in DWTS season 3 Tour. Cheryl was partnered with former NFL player Emmitt Smith in the season and in the very same season, her husband Matthew’s brother Joey Lawrence was partnered with DWTS pro, Edyta Śliwińska. Cheryl first met Joey’s younger brother Matthew in between a show in Los Angeles. Matthew complimented Cheryl saying she was cute and soon love blossomed in between the pair.

Her parents got divorced when Cheryl was just 2 years old. Her dad Stephen passed away on 9th March 2018 and although it was heartbreaking for Cheryl, she met her younger half-sister, Ina.
