At the age of 34, Dwight tied the knot with fiancee Te’a Cooper (who was 23 at the time) at a secret wedding ceremony in November 2020. The duo was engaged back in 2019. Their wedding was a shock to many but Dwight subtly revealed about him being married while discussing his wish to remain with Laker during the interview with Basketball News podcast The Rematch with Etan Thomas.

He revealed his wife playing for Los Angeles Sparks so, he would love to come back and play for the Lakers as it would be great for both of them as a couple and easier to spend more time together.

Although the pair have managed to conceal when they began dating but they seemed to be a great supportive couple.

Te’a Cooper is also a professional American basketball player for the Los Angeles Sparks of (WNBSC) Women’s National Basketball Association who was born on 16 April 1997 in Newark, New Jersey.

Although Dwight admitted that his wife Te’a Cooper changed his life, their love story soon came to an end. Fans began to speculate if they have separated after they unfollowed each other on social media and apparently Te’a confirmed their breakup.

Dwight Howard And Royce Reed

Dwight’s ex-partner Royce Reed is a gymnast and competitive cheerleader who graduated with a Theater Education and Humanities degree from Florida A&M University of Miami.

Dwight and Royce first met when Royce was working as a team dancer for the Miami Heat and Orlando Magic soon the duo started dating. After dating for short while the duo welcomed their son together namely Braylon on 18 November 2007. 

However, the couple soon parted ways and had a custody battle for their son. As the baby mama, Royce became the primary caretaker of their child and was provided with generous child support payments from the baby’s father.

Dwight is considered a miracle child by his parents as his mom had 7 miscarriages prior to having him and he was born 2 months premature.
