Buster Posey is a former professional American baseball catcher who began his MBL journey with San Francisco Giants and made his debut on 11 September 2009.

Gathering countless awards and memories, Buster Posey retired from his 12-year career with the San Francisco Giants of MBL on 4th November 2021.

As Buster officially retired he cited one of the reasons to be closer with his family and spend more time with them.

Blissfully married for over a decade, Buster and his wife Kristen are now parents to 4 kids. They first welcomed twins, a son named Lee Posey and a daughter named Addison Posey in 2011, and later, in 2020 the duo adopted twin baby girls named Ada and Livvi. The second twins baby girls Ada and Livvi were born prematurely in July 2020 during the pandemic.

Father of 4, Buster is now retired from his baseball career to spend more time with his family and do more stuff with his extended family. 

Three World Series Titleholder Buster Posey and 7-time All-Star Catcher Buster Posey also do various charities. Together, the husband and wife duo also have their own foundation called “BP28” which was launched in the spring of 2016 and the foundation works towards helping children with pediatric cancer by raising awareness and funds for pioneering research and are also working hard towards finding better treatments and cures for pediatric cancer and pediatric cancer patients.

Inspired by countless doctors and families whose children have undergone treatment Buster and his wife discovered that only about four percent of cancer funds raised in the United States go to pediatric research. The BP28 foundation has also teamed up with top national and local institutions, including The V Foundation and The Children’s Cancer Fund at UCSF.

Buster Posey was born on 27 March 1987 in Leesburg, Georgia to father Gerald Dempsey Posey II and mother Traci Posey.

Buster is the oldest child of his parents and he has 3 siblings, 2 younger brothers named Jack Posey and Jess Posey, and a younger sister named Samantha Posey. 

His sister Samantha also played college softball as a junior third baseman for the Valdosta State softball team and she also played for Gulf Coast Community College. Whereas his brother Jack was a pitcher for the Florida State Seminoles and his other brother Jess plays for a shortstop for Lee County High School. Buster as an older brother influences all his siblings, and all the siblings share a very close bond with each other.
