Josh Tomlin was born on 19 October 1984 in Tyler, Texas to mother Elana Tomlin and father Jerry Tomlin. His mom Elana owned a barbershop while his dad Jerry worked as a plumber and later worked at the power plant at the University of Texas at Tyler.
His dad Jerry was paralyzed from the chest down due to an arteriovenous dysfunction diagnosis. In other words, Jerry’s blood vessels near his spinal cord were tangled so he underwent an emergency procedure that saved his life but left him paralyzed down from the chest. Josh’s mom Elana takes care of his dad Jerry.
Josh says that his mom is a rock, a solid person, and a hard worker who holds the whole entire family together. She never complains if something goes bad and always answers every question with a smile on her face.
As a kid, Josh grew up pitching to his father in the backyard and playing catch with his mother. His parents were very supportive and were ready to do everything to make his life easier.
