Jalen Hurts is an American professional quarterback player who is also considered one of the most effective rushing quarterbacks in the league. The University of Alabama alumni Jalen was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles with No. 53rd overall in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Jalen became the starter in week 14 of the 2020 NFL season on 8th December 2020.

Jalen’s dad Averion is a Howard Payne University graduate in marketing degree in 1990 whereas his mom Pamela has 2 degrees: a Business Administration degree and an M Sc in Counseling. Pamela also has a huge influence on her son and has often been there for Jaren during the trying moments of his football career.

Jalen Hurts attended Channelview High School of Channelview, Texas and during his high school days, his dad was the coach of football there. As a junior, Jalen even was named the District 21-6A Overall MVP.

Jalen then joined the University of Alabama where he played for the Alabama Crimson Tide football team. He graduated in December 2018 with a B.A. degree in Public Relations with a minor in communication and later in 2019, he transferred to the University of Oklahoma for his final year eligibility. Being a graduate transfer Jalen was able to play for the 2019 Oklahoma Sooners football team.
