That pregnancy changed her life, Bernice’s grandmother disowned her and kicked her out of the house and she must live with her boyfriend’s mom doing chores because she was unable to pay rent. That burden also affected her studies and Bernice had to drop out of school. She is now a mother of two daughters, the youngest is named Sarai who was born in 2006.

After Bernice dropped out of school, she started to work as a bartender, and on the side, she tried modeling. Cole’s video for the song called Work Out. After 10 years of having Ashley, Bernice welcomed her second child, a daughter Sarai in 2006.
