He was cheating on her with her very own best friend, Marie-Anne Thiébaud.

She divorced her first husband in 2010. However, that was not the end but it paved the way for the start of another beautiful chapter in her life. After six months after her divorce, she announced her engagement with Frédéric Thiébaud who is the ex-husband of her best friend, Marie-Anne Thiébaud. Talking about his job, he is an executive of Swiss Nestle. The pair got engaged and without wasting any time they married less than two weeks after the engagement announcement, on January 1, 2011.

Although the first marriage of Shania was not private, her second marriage is not so. She has chosen to keep her married life with her husband as private as possible. However, the duo recently attended American Music Awards on 24 November 2019. 

Her husband has a teenage daughter named Johanna with his ex-wife, Marie-Anne.

Shania Twain was previously married to music producer Robert 'Mutt' Lange in 1993. Talking about their children, they have one son who was born eight years after their marriage. Their son's name is Eja D'Angelo Lange who was born on August 12, 2001. 

Everything between the pair was normal until Shania knew the bitter truth about her husband's extramarital affair. He was in a secret affair with her own best friend Marie-Anne Thiébaud who was also her personal secretary. After that, the married couple declared their separation in May and got divorced in June of the same year in 2010.

Shania is very concerned about her son. She wants him to be a good person and doesn’t want to spoil him by providing unnecessary presents. In an interview with The Daily Mirror in 2018, she explained that she has never gifted any present to her son because of having a fear of spoiling him.

According to her, that’s the best word she could use for somebody she hated.

As her son Eja grew older he followed in the footstep of his parents and is now a musician. Her son has an eclectic taste but listens to all kinds of music. Similarly in 2002 her album "Up!” was sold more than 20 million copies worldwide and she is the first (and currently only) female artist in history to have three consecutive albums reach diamond status, certified by the RIAA.

Family Life And Siblings

Shania Twain was born on August 28, 1965, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada to parents Sharon Morrison and Clarence Edwards. Her parents got divorced when she was just at the age of two and after that, she started living with her mother and siblings. Later, her mother got married to Jerry Twain who adopted them. They also have a brother from their stepfather and her mother.

Her stepfather was abusive in nature and her mom and her stepfather used to fight a lot. In 1987, she lost her parents after her mother and stepfather died in an automobile accident. At the age of 21, Shania encountered a new bunch of responsibility to take care of their younger siblings.

Talking about her height, she is 5 ft 3 in (1.613 m). Her sun sign is Virgo. 

She studied in Timminis High and Vocal School where she sang for a local band called Longshot. Due to Lyme disease, the voice of Shania was badly affected. In order to regain her voice from the effects of dysphonia, she had undergone multiple invasive surgeries in the year 2003. Her name, Shania is pronounced as 'Shu-nye-ah'.

Furthermore, Shania Twain also opened up about having an open-throat surgery operation and had to undergo two of them. Shania also struggled after her voice was impacted.
